BIOGRAPHY
I was born in Caracas Venezuela in 1967. In 1984 I graduated from The High School in Humanities Liceo Carlos Soublette. I attended the School of Visual Arts Cristobal Rojas in 1987. I received my B.F.A. from the Central University of Venezuela in 1994. I moved to NYC and became citizen of the United States. I attended the Art Students League of New York. I work in acrylic and often incorporate elements of drawing and collage. I am interested in the human figure, self-portraiture, science, experimentation, techniques of serialism, (the idea of creating multiple versions of the same work) and cartoon iconography. Serial art refers to a form of art in which the artist creates a series of related works that are meant to be viewed together as a cohesive whole. These works are often produced in a sequential order, with each piece building upon the previous one to create a narrative.
